FormscanBy Gary Carson - It's interesting that Bryan Cooper picks DEDIGOUT from the three Gigginstown runners and he must be pretty straight for his return to action here. He did need a run last season but that was coming back off an injury. Over this trip he may just have that bit of class to see off a couple of smart rivals and can repeat last year's victory. Prince Of Scars is the progressive one in the field and it was hard not to be impressed with his victory in the Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown when he cruised into contention. A real test of stamina seems to suit him, however, and dropping in trip may not be ideal. Lieutenant Colonel was a dual Grade 1 winner last season and makes his reappearance. He found life tougher in the World Hurdle and again behind Jezki at Punchestown but still looks a big player in this grade and although he probably looks third string for the owners here he can't be discounted. Snow Falcon looks up against it on what he has done this season while it's also a stiff task for Val De Ferbet on his first start for Andrew McNamara.
