FormscanBy Tom Weekes - JOHN CONSTABLE really seems to know how to torture punters and just when many have declared themselves 'out' (beaten short-priced favourite on all four starts), he turns up in this handicap officially 7lbs well-in, having finished second at Navan five days ago. A full-brother to St Leger winner Leading Light, it is likely he will be much better over a staying trip and while it is difficult to look past him getting weight from all bar one rival, he now drops back to nine furlongs. Elegant Peace, again ridden by her capable claimer, has progressed nicely, in handicaps, from her initial sprint efforts as a juvenile and while she handles soft ground well, is now 14lbs higher than when winning at Cork recently. She should figure but might struggle to win. Both Zarib and Aussie Valentine have very similar profiles in that each has proven ability but each, on its seasonal reappearance, has to prove himself on soft ground. They are difficult to assess both but each has a fairly big weight. Muileata gets weight but looked fairly limited last season. She never threatened in five maidens then and while she steps up markedly in trip, looks best watched for now.
