FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - SUN ON THE RUN was put up by some good judges at the Curragh on his reappearance last month. The Whipper gelding got no luck in running when sixth on that occasion but he's since gained compensation at Cork and he's now a dual winner at the Mallow venue. He's obviously going the other way around now but hopefully that won't be a problem and he gets the nod to defy the handicapper who put him up 8Ibs for the win eleven days back. Whilst Sun On The Run may be new to 'Tipp,' three of his rivals certainly aren't with Beacon Lodge, Canary Row and Rock Critic all winners at 'The Junction' in the past. Indeed Beacon Lodge and Rock Critic scored over the course and distance. However the one that appeals most against Sun On The Run is Bubbly Bellini. He certainly wasn't disgraced on Sunday at the Curragh in Group 3 company. Ado McGuinness' hardy campaigner has run well here in the past including when third in the corresponding heat a year ago. Another big run is surely in the offing.
