FormscanBy Tom Weekes - SEA COAST coped with testing ground well when winning at Cork latest and has claims under a 4lbs rise here. She seems progressive and consistent and can also benefit from her first trip at nine furlongs. Massinga hardly seems well treated in her first handicap off 95 but is a soft ground winner and comes here fit and well. The form of her recent win at Galway was boosted on Monday (by well held Falkirk, at Ballinrobe) and she can prove competitive. Laviniad showed distinct signs of quirkiness in the past but has some sound handicap form in recent times. She has done most of her racing on fast ground but handled an ease well enough at Sligo. Irish Reel likes soft ground and won well at Roscommon in June but 16lbs higher than that run in this, being 5lbs out of the handicap. Ashtaroth ran well enough on handicap debut at Galway but competes from that same mark, being 2lbs 'out' while Leafy Suburb is 5lbs 'out' and makes her handicap debut. Whimsical ran well in Stakes company three runs back and while he appeared the following day 3lbs well-in, was beaten under her claimer and was also well beaten at Sligo latest.
