Getgo landed some nice bets in the last at Dundalk, the irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap, scoring under Shane Foley for Keith Clarke.

Available at 14/1 this morning, the son of Excelebration opened on-course at 12s, before going off an 8/1 chance.

Settled in mid-division, the four-year-old gelding took closer order from early in the straight, and was ridden to challenge over a furlong out.

He soon hit the front, and kept on well in the closing stages to score by a length and a quarter. Lady Argentum (28/1) finished second under Wayne Lordan for Tom Gibney, while the 7/2 favourite Lizard Point was three parts of a length back in third for Chris Hayes and Pat Flynn.

The winner, who was previously trained in the UK by David Lanigan, was bought for 9,000 guineas at Tattersalls last November.

Shane Foley said afterwards: "I rode him here before Christmas when he was a bit unlucky and didn't get much of a run. I thought he'd definitely win the next day but he disappointed then the next couple of runs. Keith said he had him in good form and the blinkers on him helped.

"Keith's dad actually passed away today so it's a little consolation for them to win on the day."
