The winner, Burj Malinka (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Thirsk on 18 September 2023 where the gelding finished seventh of 15 runners, beaten 8 lengths.
Adrian Nicholls’ explanation that Burj Malinka (IRE) benefitted from being ridden more prominently from a better draw, was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that Mighty Gurkha (IRE), unplaced, slipped when leaving the stalls and P J McDonald reported that Secret Road (IRE), placed fourth, was never travelling.
