An enquiry was held to consider interference turning into the home straight involving the winner, Vandemere (IRE), ridden by Craig Nichol, and Iceman Dennis (FR), unplaced, ridden by Theo Gillard.
The interference was found to be accidental as both riders had gone for the same gap when coming from behind weakening runners, resulting in Iceman Dennis (FR) being placed momentarily onto the heels of Hardy Boy (FR).
Following the race, Luca Morgan reported that Hardy Boy (FR), unplaced, jumped poorly.
Henry Brooke reported that Bravethewaves (GB), unplaced, was never travelling; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination during routine testing of Bravethewaves (GB) found the gelding to be lame on its left-fore leg.
Ian Williams confirmed Sean Bowen's report that Ghasham (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling, and further reported that the colt was unsuited by the tight nature of the track at Bangor, and unsuited by the Good, Good to Soft in places going (which was subsequently changed to Good), and would prefer a softer surface; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Ghasham (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
