Thomas Willmott, the rider of Frimeur De Lancray (FR), was unseated shortly after the start was effected.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved, and that the incident was accidental and caused by Frimeur De Lancray (FR) shying at the tape shortly after it went back, jinking left and unseating its rider.
The Stewards were satisfied that Frimeur De Lancray (FR) was deemed a runner.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Charmant (FR), placed fourth, bled from the nose.
