Mr Tom Broughton was unseated from Atakan (FR) as the Starter was declaring the first attempt by the riders to line up a false start.
Having been examined by the doctor, the rider was deemed fit to race.
After an initial false start, the start was effected successfully on the second attempt.
However, having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
The performance of Sublime Heights (IRE), which finished unplaced, beaten by 49½ lengths was considered.
Toby Lawes could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
Following the race, Miss Gina Andrews reported that Gerico Ville (FR), placed second, hung left- handed throughout.
