Mells Theater probably came up against a very smart rival when no match for No More Heroes in a maiden over an extra quarter mile here last month. Described as a big, backward sort by his trainer, he should learn from that experience and will not lack in fitness now after two promising maiden runs. Captain Von Trappe failed to shape up to expectations in a Galway bumper and the Dawstown point-to-point winner is now sent over hurdles.
