FormscanBy Michael Graham - MAKE A CHALLENGE is top rated on 112 and can get his reward. Denis Hogan’s charge did very little wrong in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes when cut down in the final 50 yards by A'ali who flew home on the stands’ side. Make A Challenge has really held his form in sprint contests with no less than eight victories accrued from the end of May 2019. A notable piece of form in the context of this race was his four and a half length victory in a Listed race over course and distance on soft to heavy ground in October. Speak In Colours is rated 1lb inferior to Make A Challenge, but has to give him 4lbs. He is more than holding his own in good company, though, with Group 2 and Group 3 successes this summer. In addition, he was beaten less than three lengths into fifth in the Group One Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot which is excellent form at the top level. Southern Horse stormed home for third in Cork which was an eye-catching effort. He has form on testing ground in his native Argentina, and carries plenty of threat. He is certainly one for each-way players to consider.
