FormscanBy Tom Weekes - DYNAMITE DIXIE's winning form at Limerick latest received a minor boost when the runner-up won a lowly maiden at Sligo yesterday but he should have claims in this from the same mark in which he finished second earlier last month. DYNAMITE DIXIE appears fairly versatile ground-wise and is further helped by being fully race-fit, having come down the ratings after having just one run as a four year old. Woodsophiesmile started life from a low level and while she is gradually working her way up the ratings, was an unlucky-in-running beaten favourite on her latest start. She looks open to further improvement but does drop back in trip here and might possibly benefit from this comeback run. Alvar almost has a Louth passport at this point in his career, having raced 24 from 26 times at Dundalk. He has been progressing nicely but might be best watched on his return to turf. Odisseia was a good winner last September and while likely to be ready here, might be slightly risky on her first run back as a three year old.

Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra for each race won Any horse rated above 80 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 10st. Subsequently, the excess over 80 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any three year old rated above 80 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
