FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - Winner of this race in 2010 and 2012, ON THE FRINGE can go in again. He's only nine yet, having landed the event in 2010 when just out of his maiden point-to-point as a five-year-old. A quick look at his recent form suggests strongly that On The Fringe is as good as ever and in such circumstances he should take a deal of beating. Aintree Foxhunter hero Warne is best at a bit short of this trip. He finished fourth, beaten almost twenty lengths, behind On The Fringe here in 2012, and that margin is likely to be reduced now, but not to the extent that the tables will be turned. Shock Joseph O'Reilly scorer Hix Fix is progressive and could challenge for a placing in the frame. Vital Plot has been in good form in 'points' but this is an altogether different level of competition.
