FormscanBy Michael Graham - ROCA ROMA can take advantage of a drop in class. She faced a tough task in the Group One Pretty Polly and came in last of the five runners before disappointing when unplaced in Listed company at Killarney. This looks an ideal opportunity for her to bounce back to form. She just gets into this race with a mark of 90 and, crucially, is well at home on rain-softened ground having won a fillies’ maiden over a mile on it in Gowran Park three starts ago. She holds entries in the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes and in the Irish Cambridgeshire. Capel At Dawn was a never nearer third over seven furlongs on attritional ground in Galway which brings her into the mix. She won over a mile at Naas in June. This is a step up in class for her, though, so you would imagine some improvement would be required. Lady Scathach knows how to win, and is far from out of it for Tom McCourt and Danny Sheehy. She is likely to be coming home better than most, and should get into contention.
