FormscanBy Michael Graham - RAZDAN showed ability in a barrier trial at Dundalk and has prospects of making a winning start. He kept on to get up for second in a trial run in a good time and, being by Zoffany, ought to deal with rain-softened ground. Cosmic Vega is interesting on the back of another barrier trial. He ran on well for fourth on the polytrack, and the winner of that trial has since won a maiden at the Curragh by a healthy three and three quarter lengths. He is by Lope De Vega out of a Pivotal mare, so plenty of cut in the ground should be right up his street. Aidan O’Brien’s Song Of Peace clearly has to be respected, but he is American-bred and slow ground may not be ideal first-time out. Bohenie finished third in a Dundalk barrier trial. He is related to Shamshon who has won 12 times during his career in Britain, including on soft ground. Boulette is by an Australian sire and may prefer better ground. Dazzling Spirit is related to several winners and is worth a market check.
