Whynotnowroy (IRE) arrived at the start with a small amount of blood in its mouth.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
After an initial false start, the start was effected successfully on the second attempt.
However, having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
An enquiry was held to consider interference leaving the backstraight on the final circuit, involving the winner, Whynotnowroy (IRE), ridden by Harry Atkins and Reine Fee (IRE), placed third, ridden by Isabelle Ryder.
As a 7lb claiming conditional, Ryder was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior jockey.
Atkins was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear of Reine Fee (IRE) causing Ryder to take a check on her mount.
Following the race, Freddie Gordon reported that Dreadpoetssociety (IRE), unplaced, hung badly left-handed, Philip Armson reported that Bellamy's Grey (GB), which was pulled up, was never travelling, Toby Wynne reported that Stargazer Belle (GB), which was pulled up, hung left-handed throughout, Caoilin Quinn reported that Vintage Icon (GB), which was pulled up, made a bad mistake at the final flight in the back straight and Tabitha Worsley reported that No Guarantee (GB), which was pulled up, was never travelling.
