After an initial false start, the start was effected successfully on the second attempt.
However, having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
The winner Well Dick (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Fontwell on 14 February 2024 where the gelding pulled up.
Charlie Longsdon’s explanation that the gelding was better suited to a more galloping track on this occasion, was noted.
The performance of Track And Trace (IRE), which was pulled up, was considered.
Jonjo O’Neill could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
