Many A Star (IRE) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
Permission was given for Under The Twilight (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Zaman Jemil (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and be mounted on the chute.
The Starter reported that Zaman Jemil (IRE) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 1:51pm.
Harry and Roger Charlton were informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out when the winner, Monsieur Kodi (IRE), ridden by Oisin Orr, interfered with Royal Parade (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jason Hart, who in turn interfered with Justcallmepete (GB), unplaced, ridden by Joe Leavy.
Being a 7lb claimer, Leavy was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Orr was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift right-handed when insufficiently clear for several strides carrying Royal Parade (IRE) off its intended line which in turn caused Leavy to take a check.
Following the race, David Allan reported that Music Society (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run approximately 2 furlongs out.
