Pillar Of Hope (GB) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
Park Street (GB) collided with the running rail leaving the parade ring.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 1 ½ furlongs out involving Pillar Of Hope (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Joe Fanning; On The River (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Cam Hardie and Tuscan (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Ben Curtis.
The interference was found to be accidental as Pillar Of Hope (GB) edged marginally right-handed at the same time as On The River (GB) edged left-handed causing Curtis to be short of room and take a check.
Approaching the final furlong Pillar Of Hope (GB), placed fourth, hung slightly right-handed carrying On The River (GB), placed sixth, off its intended line causing Hardie to take a check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Pillar Of Hope (GB).
Following the race, David Nolan reported that Zozimus (IRE), placed second, was denied a clear run approximately 1 ½ furlongs out.
Cam Hardie reported that On The River (GB), placed sixth, was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong.
