Katie Scott had obtained prior permission from the BHA to run Spartakos (GB) partially shod.
Permission was given for Magical Effect (IRE) to go early to post and for Spartakos (GB) to be mounted in the chute and led to post early.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approaching the half a furlong marker involving the winner, Mister Sox (GB), ridden by Ben Robinson and Obee Jo (IRE), placed second, ridden by Connor Murtagh.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Mister Sox (GB) and were unable to be satisfied that the distance lost by Obee Jo (IRE) was greater than the half a length margin between the runners at the line; taking this into account the placings were therefore unaltered.
Ben Robinson was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed when insufficiently clear causing Obee Jo (IRE) to be crowded for room and switch.
