The winner, Doctor Foley (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Fontwell on 8 March 2023, where the gelding finished fifth of six, beaten by 26 lengths.
Anthony Honeyball explained that Doctor Foley (IRE) had appreciated a switch to running over fences, the first time application of a tongue tie, and running on going officially described as Good, Good to Soft in places, having raced on Soft ground at Fontwell on its previous run.
His explanation was noted, Doctor Foley (IRE) was routine tested.
