This Zarak gelding has contested Grade 1 contests on his last two starts and his fifth at Cheltenham and fourth in Aintree should have him more than competitive up in trip here. Cleatus Poolaw didn't have the smoothest passage when unplaced in the Pertemps at Cheltenham. Prior to that, though, he was in a consistent vein of form which gives him prospects. Antrim Coast won his maiden hurdle over slightly further at this track. He found a Grade 2 assignment at Cheltenham too hot, but has been freshened up. Nicky Henderson's raider East India Express should be given a market check.

He is a fine big horse, is a chaser in the making and his bumper form was very good. He finished behind a champion bumper winner the last day so we thought we had a good chance. He was backward and we tried running him at five but he was too weak and said we'd wait. It has been worth waiting for though and he'll go chasing next season. We'll either look for a novice hurdle now or see what mark he gets and work from there. He stays all day, is a real three-miler and was still babyish today. We're absolutely thrilled with him,. I chose him as a three-year-old at the Derby Sale, JP very kindly let me pick one out. He in turn then sent him for a proper education, to boarding school, to Derek O'Connor who did a fantastic job with him. Then he came back to me this autumn. He has a wonderful pedigree, his great grandmother is the dam of Makybe Diva who won three Melbourne Cups. He looks like a very promising horse. I've had a lot of swans in the last few years and they've all turned out to be geese but I think this fella might stay a swan. Mark said that there wasn't any great pace so he was very happy to be in front. He jumped superb and maybe got a little bit lonely after the last but he was very happy with him. I suppose I'll be told what to do with him but I wouldn't mind stepping him up. The horse that was second to him in his point-to-point (Jango Baie) won first time out at Ascot for Nicky Henderson. He runs in a Grade 1 at Aintree today so it will be interesting to see how he runs. He'll have to be entered in Grade 1s anyway and fingers crossed I think he might just get there. He's got size and scope and he's only a four-year-old. I think there is going to be tremendous improvement in him, I hope so. Hopefully he stays lucky, stays right and healthy. You don't expect them to win like that and we thought he was a decent horse all along and I'm delighted for Martin (O'Sullivan),. He's probably good enough to line up in any bumper but I don't know if we need to over-race him. She was actually meant to go to the Sales a week before that (Punchestown) and we kind of eased off on her. She wasn't sold and we said we would run her anyway, she just blew up turning in. They were good horses we were taking on. We knew we had her fit today and it was a weak enough contest, so we thought we would pick up. She's hardy and she probably wants it even softer, she's as tough as you get and clear winded. She is hard on herself at home, but she is tough and jumps for fun. She has been very good to me and I'm delighted. She was brilliant to me and I'd be lost without her - it is hard to get going these days. I'd say he (Hugh Finegan) will probably put her away now, but you wouldn't know with the rain we are having - anything could happen. I'd say when the spark comes out of her a wee bit she will stay further because all she does is gallop. I thought the ground was yielding, she was rattling off it.
