FormscanBy Tom Weekes - BILLAWAY is 12 years old but might retain enough of his old ability to enhance his two-race unbeaten record at this course, having won last year's renewal. He is closely matched on Vaucelet on past-and-recent form and being a dour and somewhat enigmatic stayer, today's course-and-distance plays ideally to his strengths. Vaucelet is himself a capable hunter but this season's form has been below his best. Shiroccosmagicgem wasn't beaten far in a useful race at Killarney and steps up to this distance for the first time while Private Ryan steps up from winning the less-competitive Bishopscourt Cup at the Punchestown festival.
