FormscanBy Mark Nunan - HES A HARDY BLOKE showed a good cruising speed when winning twice over hurdles last season and should be all the better for last week’s spin on the Flat at Ballinrobe. He was unable to land a blow in his first handicap at Leopardstown back in the spring, but better ground here will suit and he’s likely to arrive late on the scene. Ruaille Buaille was third in a similar event (off 6lb lower) at Fairyhouse over Easter and comes here with her confidence boosted by a couple of wins in small-field conditions events. Flying Scotsman won twice here on the Flat at last year’s festival and sneaks in at the bottom of the weights after a maiden hurdle win at Navan. Excelsius has been hit with a 13lb hike for his easy win at Killarney but is still on a nice racing weight, while Run For Oscar’s third to Galway Hurdle fancy Winner Takes Itall at Bellewstown brings him into the equation as well.
