FormscanBy Mark Nunan - EARLSWOOD has had a little break since finishing a creditable fourth in the Irish Derby but might be able to resume winning ways with Shane Kelly replacing the suspended Ben Coen. A good winner of the Gallinule Stakes over course and distance in May, his latest run can be upgraded because he met with interference and stumbled early in the straight. Leo De Fury was impressive in a Group 2 first time out last season but made no impact when tried at the highest level a couple of times thereafter. His fifth to Japan at Leopardstown was a decent reappearance and he has to be respected in this grade. The long absent Innisfree, not seen since second in the 2019 Vertem Futurity behind subsequent 2,000 Guineas winner Kameko, can only be watched on his comeback while Listed winners Lafayette and Reve De Vol have more to do at this level. Visualisation was second to a subsequent Group 3 winner at Royal Ascot and it will be interesting to see how he fares in stakes company.
