Time Stands Still (14s into 11s) proved best in the corkracecourse.ie Handicap under seven pound apprentice Willie Byrne.
Winning trainer Willie Martin's son Michael reasoned in the aftermath: "She ran really well in a 0-80 at Leopardstown and had it won everywhere bar the line, and then went to Naas and had no draw out on the stands' side. She came here today and won easy going away."
It wasn't difficult to see where that summation of today's win came from after Time Stands Still defeated 50/1 shot Tio Esteban and joint favourite Solomons Seal by three lengths and two lengths. The winner was always in the firing line before kicking on two down.
"That's her third win, she is a very good filly when she is right - but she is a filly. We'll tip away for the summer and she's quite versatile ground-wise," elaborated Martin junior.
The Stewards fined P.J.Hassett, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Happy Company in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Happy Company in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
