No Speed Limit won for the first time since December 2022 when making all the running under Billy Lee to run out a game winner of the Dundalk Stadium Celebrates 20 Years 29th November Handicap.
Having tasted success in this same race two years ago, the Patrick McKenna trained gelding had been placed on numerous occasions over the last couple of seasons.
Back down to a mark of 51, having been rated much higher in the not too distant past, the eight-year-old was smartly away and made every post a winning one under Lee. Theriverrunsdeep stayed on strongly from out of the chasing pack to get within half-a-length at the line but couldn't ever get to the 13/2 winner.
Billy Lee said: "He jumped very well from the gates and he just had me in front. I was planing to sort of sit second, third or fourth, but I didn't take him back - I didn't want to disappoint the horse.
"He took me well into the straight and I brought him to the outside of it and he has picked up. To be fair, he stuck his head out for me and battled all the way to the line.
"Pat said the old cold nights suit him - he's not bad with his wind, but I'd say the cold nights help. He was just in good form and everything fell into place nicely.
"It is a long time ago that I won on one for Pat and the McKennas, so it is nice to get one again."
