McCoy on the mark with Seven
Tony McCoy's visit to Tipperary was not in vain after Double Seven claimed the Woodlands Hotel Adare Handicap Hurdle.
With Captain Cee Bee taken out of the feature event McCoy was left with just one ride on the card and made it count.
Martin Brassil 's charge completed a hat-trick when getting the better of Mubrook by a length-and-a-half.
The 9/4 favourite had fought it out with that rival from after the second last after the pair took over from long-time leader Beau Michael
The winner was returning from a break having scored at the Galway festival. He had also won at at this venue over two miles previously.
"They went a slow gallop and sprinted for the last three furlongs but once he jumped the last two he was ok" said Brassil.
"I was a bit concerned coming down here about the ground but when I got here Barry Geraghty told me it was just soft.
"He seems to be taking his races well. He won over 2m6f at Galway and will probably be at his best over extended trips.
"He should make a nice chaser in time."
