The Dancing Lord recorded back to back victories at Dundalk when lunging late to claim the first division of the mile handicap this evening.

John Geoghegan 's charge had struck over course and distance last week and repeated the dose under Robbie Downey.

10/3 favourite Elusive In Paris travelled smoothly into the lead a furlong-and-a-half out but was chased down in the closing stages by The Dancing Lord, who got up for a three-parts-of-a length success at odds of 4/1.

“I had to come back as I had him entered in this 0-65 and he might never get into one again! It paid off,” said Geoghegan.

“He might get a bit of a break now. He was a cheap horse and was bought out of a claimer in England. He's won three now and is paying his way.”
