Important Message He had a snotty nose the day after his last run so I was able to draw a line through it. He worked very well last week and I knew he was back to himself,. I told Danny to be handy and use his stamina. I thought coming off the Flat that he was a doubtful stayer but now it looks like he’s a real tough stayer. He’s a good ground horse and we have a nice handicap mark on the Flat so if the ground does go against us we’ll be going to Dundalk with him.

Mccabe He is part-owned by Dave Beirne who was a 1968 All-Ireland winning hurler (with Wexford) so that is an important job done!. We'll have to see how the handicapper treats him and he'll probably go for something similar and might also make a nice three year old hurdler for someone. It's nice to have a winner for Kevin on the day that's in it.

Blue For You We hoped he'd run well but obviously others appeared to be in better form coming into the race. He had to improve from his first run but we were optimistic he'd handle the ground when the rain came as his dam won in Cork the same day Harzand won his maiden and the ground was very soft. It did look unlikely in the dip and he is still a big raw horse. He toughed it out well and has shown a good attitude and hopefully he'll be up to Stakes level. Dad stayed away but might appear at some stage during the week, maybe tomorrow.
