Dundalk Fri, 15th Mar, 2024  Walhaan To be honest, if it was the day before over hurdles (sixth in Leopardstown), we really fancied him. The rain came that night and just spoiled our chances but he ran a cracker. We put him away after that and said we would have one run. We hope to go to Lingfield on Good Friday with him now, that's the plan if he gets in. This was a pipe-opener for that.

Dundalk Fri, 26th Jan, 2024  Miqdaad Miqdaad only cost me a thousand guineas in the October horses in training sale. I just thought he hadn't run that badly in his one run (at Yarmouth) and while he had had a fracture when with Godolphin, we took a punt on him. He's a cheap horse, but he'll cover some of the better ones. Mike O'Brien (owner) jumped at him straight away and I'm delighted for too as he is a year without a winner. He's a good owner and he always supports me for three or four horses. He keeps buying new ones, so he deserves a winner.

Down Royal Tue, 26th Dec, 2023  Gamigin They are two brothers (McGills) and they are two real good lads and good riders. They are well worth their claim,. Oran probably would have ridden him only he is running out of rides this year. He burnt up a lot of rides on Cave Court! He'll be standing in there watching it and he's my main jockey. Dara is a good lad, a good rider with a cool head. I said to ride him to get into a place and if you get there, you get there. I think if you give those jockeys those instructions it works out better. Cheekpieces on today as we just thought he was a wee bit lairy the last day. We came here with confidence we would be in the first three.
