Dee breaks duck in style
He'll train on to be a summer horse and we'll probably give him a little break now before bringing him back for the early summer,. It's lovely to win a maiden with him. It's my first winner for Oliver Barden, who owns O'Donoghues Pub in Dublin. Hopefully it's the first of many.
Politeo off mark on Irish debut
It's nice to make a winning debut. We'll stick him in a winners race now and see where we go then,. Davy did a great job. He settled and jumped very quick and well. I would have been disappointed if he didn't run well as his work at home has been very good. He's a horse with a bit of a knee action that would suggest he would act on soft ground but that's probably as soft as he has encountered. Hopefully he'll improve.
Swan off the mark for year
It's grand to get a winner. It's my first in 2010,. My horses were a bit sick over Christmas and the frost was probably a good help to me. It couldn't have come at a better time!. He's a grand horse and will make a nice chaser - he stays well. We'll see how he comes out of this and look for something similar. I was a little bit worried that he might just need the run.

Newmill back in limelight
He's been in good form all year but I didn't think he would go in that ground. I walked it and thought it was very gluey,. Eddie Power was outstanding on him. He didn't think there was much pace on so decided to make it a bit of a gallop. He rides him at home and knew he was fit. He settles better nowadays. Probably age is against him for any of the top stuff but I'll talk to the owners and see what they'd like to do. He's in great form and very sound so there's no reason to put him out in a field anyway.
Tally completes treble for Russell
I'm thrilled to bits. She's a way better chaser than she was over hurdles,. She always found one too good over hurdles and just couldn't get black-type. Davy was amazing on her. I was worried she wouldn't get the trip in the ground and with a penalty. I think there is a good mares' novice for her in Uttoxeter and we'll take it easy for a couple of weeks until then. My horses are flying at the moment.
