FormscanBy Mark Nunan - The betting market predicted a big run from BUA BOY last Thursday at the Galway Festival and the Doyen gelding duly obliged over 2m. Winning rider Denis Hogan subsequently hung up his boots to concentrate on training and quickly sends his charge into the fray again under a penalty. He hasn’t fared too well when upped in trip before, but the way he finished up the hill in Ballybrit would suggest he should get the extra 4f here. Chasing Abbey has been running well at Roscommon (although well-held in fourth there on Monday) while this is Mon Storm’s track with three wins here in 2019 and, despite having risen a good bit in the ratings, he can’t be ruled out under a capable 7lbs claimer. Ellie Mac was a good third last time and is a contender in this grade. Insane Bolt wasn’t helped by a last-flight error when a close third at Tramore and is still on a nice mark.
