FormscanBy Donal Murphy - FEDERICA SOPHIA might be able to defy top-weight. A big eye-catcher on debut in July of last year, the daughter of Galileo made the breakthrough on her next start, easily justifying odds-on favouritism over the course and distance. It is somewhat surprising that she starts off the season in handicap company, but if successful much bigger targets will surely be on her agenda. Tauran Shaman did not get the run of the race at the Curragh on his most recent start, but still ran well to finish fourth. The experienced handicapper should give a good account of himself here and is given second preference. The hat-trick seeking Sense Of Worth is sure to have plenty of supporters, while Mosala is an interesting contender, making his debut in handicap company having won his maiden at Dundalk in January. A winner here last month, it'll come as little surprise if Akhlaaq manages to follow-up. Excelcius, The Names Jock, Lethal Power and handicap debutant Oh So True are others to consider.
