FormscanBy Alan Magee - CAPTAIN GUINNESS was probably the pick of these over hurdles and is taken to get back on track after an unfortunate start over fences at Tipperary. The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding gave Andy Dufresne a fright in a Grade 2 novice hurdle here last season and was still travelling well when brought down two out in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. He was sent off at odds-on for that aforementioned chasing debut but was found to have an irregular heartbeat after pulling up before halfway. Jungle Junction beat The Priests Leap in a Navan maiden hurdle last winter and both appear types to do well over fences. Midnight Run looked a classy sort just over a year ago but needs to regain his sparkle after a number of disappointing runs.
