FormscanBy Alan Magee - BRAESIDE hasn’t exactly been thrown in on his handicap debut over fences but should give a good account with Lisa O’Neill a big asset in this event. The selection took a maiden hurdle in good style at this venue last winter and has kept some good company since sent chasing this term. His third to stablemate Pencilfulloflead at Galway reads well in light of the winner’s subsequent Grade 2 victory, and the addition of cheek-pieces may help him to concentrate. Kavanaghs Corner and Hoke Colburn are both consistent sorts to consider, while Envol Pierji should progress from his reappearance at Down Royal but needs to brush up his jumping. Point-to-point winner Port Rashid has won twice over hurdles and should give Jody Townend a nice spin under a light-weight.
