FormscanBy Mark Nunan - Winning at his local track of Listowel was ‘Derby Day’ for DROMBEG DAWN but such was the ease of his victory that he might be able to follow up off a stone higher mark. Connections could hardly quibble with the handicapper’s reaction as the 5-year-old stormed home on his second start for Eoin McCarthy and he’s a proven performer on testing ground. There was plenty of money around for Prince Of Peace when he was a good fourth to Miss Florentine at the Curragh and he proved himself on soft ground when second at Killarney earlier in the year. Rock Etoile was below-par last time but made the frame twice at the Galway Festival and his second to subsequent Listed winner Visualisation in an early season soft-ground handicap is a strong line of form as well. Colin Keane won on Rockview Empress at Navan last autumn and the Lope De Vega filly, who showed a bit more at Punchestown, could get involved off a declining mark.
