FormscanBy Michael Graham - The form of LADY ALCAZAR's last two appearances has been endorsed by the winners of those races, which gives hope that she can make the breakthrough off a mark of 64. She was caught at the winning post by Talking Tough over an extended five furlongs at Sligo, and the latter has since obliged in a handicap on day one of the Galway Festival. Lady Alcazar's next outing saw her come home fourth in Navan behind Not Now Zeb, who then swooped to land a good sprint handicap in the Curragh. Maggie Thunder put in her best effort to date when runner-up in Cork in first-time cheekpieces which are retained. Declan McDonogh is also on board again, and her chance is respected. Pulsating was unplaced in Galway over seven furlongs but finished well. She is back to a trip she enjoys, but it worth noting that all of her eight career victories have come on all-weather surfaces. Jo Binney can improve upon her seasonal reappearance eighth when keen in Cork.
