A drop in class to Listed level can reap rewards for Somehow in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes at Gowran Park on Sunday.

Aidan O'Brien's Fastnet Rock filly was fourth in the Investec Oaks at Epsom and fifth in the Irish Oaks, and landed the Group Three Snow Fairy Stakes at Headquarters in October.

She returned to action in the same grade when narrowly outpointed by Czabo at Naas last month. With a rating of 113, she is the class act in the field.

Dermot Weld's Sharliyna did not meet expectations in testing conditions at Naas but should show more on better ground in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap over seven furlongs.

The form of Treaty Of Vienna's debut fourth in the Curragh last September gives Jim Bolger's charge bright prospects in the Summer Evenings At Gowran Park Maiden.

The winner of that race, stablemate Vociferous Marina, impressed when scoring in the Listed Salsabil Stakes at Navan last weekend.

Weld's Frankel filly Frima should be monitored in the betting on debut.

Bolger's Bean Feasa has a lofty mark of 99 after finishing fifth in a Group Three at Leopardstown, so should be on the premises in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden.

It could be a memorable day for Bolger as Chronicles has to be respected when contesting the Gowran Park Festival Of Speed Race.

He kept on best at Navan on Monday when well backed.

Landline has snippets of form behind good horses which give him an each-way chance, at a price, in the Gowran Park Golf Open Singles Handicap.

Smiling Emily bounced back to form when third in Navan and looks the part, off 1lb higher, in the Kilkenny Country Music Festival Handicap.
