Trainer Dermot Weld and stable jockey Pat Smullen combined for a double at Tipperary today when Mulkeyya doubled their tally in the Buy Tickets Online @tipperaryraces.ie Maiden.
Earlier successful in the featured Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes on Weld's Tested Smullen steered Mulkeyya to a length and a half win over Aunt Sally
Weld's son Kris Weld later commented "that was an important win as she will make a lovely broodmare prospect and it was important to get that winning bracket beside her name.
"There were very few opportunities on slow ground at times this year and some days she was running on ground that was quicker than ideal."
