Review fairyhouse 25th Feb

< Pleasant Company produced a relentless run from the back of the field to land the At The Races Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse.

Ruby Walsh was happy to sit at the back of the field on Willie Mullins' 9-4 favourite and still had plenty of ground to make up on the trailblazing Thunder And Roses turning for home.

Pleasant Company proved a willing partner for Walsh, though, as he came home the strongest to score by a length.

Any joy Ellmarie Holden had for Ex Patriot passing the post first in the Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdle was short-lived as the stewards awarded the race to Dinaria Des Obeaux

Gordon Elliott's winner was the 10-11 favourite for the contest and was forced to switch wide to challenge by Bryan Cooper as Ex Patriot hit the front at the last.

Dinaria Des Obeaux was gaining with every stride up the run-in and went down by a head in the Grade Three, only for the stewards to reverse the result.

Cooper made it a double in more emphatic fashion when the Mouse Morris-trained Alamein (9-1) took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase by the scruff of the neck and cruised home clear of Dicosimo

Davy Russell was aboard Ex Patriot and gained some compensation when guiding Presenting Percy to victory in the At The Races Handicap Hurdle.

Patrick Kelly's 2-1 favourite was travelling much the best when edging ahead between the final two flights and ran on well to beat That's A Wrap by three and a quarter lengths.

Jamie Codd produced Aupcharlie (11-10 favourite) to contest the lead before the final fence of the Easter Festival 16th-18th April Hunters Chase and he streaked clear to score for Jim Dreaper.

Codd and Elliott collected doubles on the card when Empire Burleque (11-8) repelled Fulham Road s challenge to land the Ian Smith Memorial Flat Race.

Francis Flood's Peace N' Milan (7-1) streaked clear in the home straight to land the Book For The Easter Festival Mares Handicap Hurdle, winning cosily from The Green Lady under Ricky Doyle.
