The four runners in the median auction race at Dundalk were all in a line with a furlong-and-a-half to run but it was Swish who asserted in the closing stages to land the spoils. Roman Wells (5/4) took them along in the seven-furlong contest but was joined by his rivals in the straight.

Swish, sent off the 11/10 favourite, travelled sweetly into contention, under Kevin Manning, and it was John Feane's charge who picked up best inside the final furlong.

She asserted in the closing stages for a length-and-a-half success as Roman Wells battled on for the runner-up spot.

The winner had won over five at the track last year and had also finished second in Listed company over the minimum trip.

"She travelled into it well and quickened up nicely. We'll see where we go from here and make a plan. Hopefully that's a stepping stone to something better,” said Feane.
