She's Not Simple sprang a 25/1 shock in the six furlong handicap at Naas this afternoon when running out a cosy winner under Sean Corby.

The Pat Martin-trained filly swooped on the outer to lead just inside the final furlong and kept on strongly in the closing stages for a two-length success over Big Bad Lily

The winner had been well held on her previous two outings but Martin felt the easier conditions today made the difference:-

“It's not a shock. I thought the last day the ground was too hard for her. We were looking for an ease but I was afraid that it might be too soft.

“She had issues with the stalls when we got her first and her head was a bit fried. She's gradually gotten the message and was a lot calmer today.

“She has ability, obviously likes here and I'd say that's her trip. She lost her way a bit but seems to be back on track.

“The young lad is riding great. She was always travelling in his hands and he's riding with a lot of confidence.

“I'm delighted as it's my first winner for (owner) Patrick McCann who has given us a few nice horses.”
