Thedancingfarrier stormed home to give Alice Power her first winner, in the Longines Fegentri World Championship (QR) Handicap Hurdle at Cork this afternoon. Ivane looked to have made a decisive move in the three-miler when leading going to the third last flight.

He was joined on either side by Likable Chancer and Thedancingfarrier at the final flight and the Paul Kiely-trained gelding stayed on strongly on the run-in to post a length-and-three-quarter win over Ivane.

The 12/1 winner was recording his third 'track' win, all coming at this venue. He had also won three point-to-points.

Power said afterwards:- "I'm delighted and a huge thanks to Paul who is very good to me. He did it with a bit in hand, loves Cork ant it is great.

"I have ridden him in the past and he had a heavier weight when I rode him at Naas and has come back down the handicap now.

"My father Walter Power trained track and point-to-point horses and is farming now and I started off with ponies and then riding racehorses at home. I ride out for Paul in the mornings and David Kiely in the evening."

Kiely added:- "That is mighty and Alice deserved it as she works hard. She is very dedicated and rides and schools our young horses as well. I'm delighted for her as she is with us every morning as we are busy enough with point-to-pointers. She is very good to us.

"The horse is 12 but there is still life left in him and for some reason he seems to love it around here. He might come back here at Easter as he acts better here than anywhere else.

"We have mostly point-to-pointer horses which are going well and had a nice four-year-old horse which we recently sold."
