"He's the first War Front I've had and he has potential," said Jim Bolger after his Radio Silence lived up to his billing as the odds-on favourite for the Racecourse Of The Year Race (Plus 10 Race) at Leopardstown.

Kevin Manning always looked happy on the first-time-out juvenile, and the 9/10 shot came through from the back with his bid in the final quarter mile of this seven furlong heat.

The 150,000 dollar yearling didn't have to exert himself too much inside the last to beat Pipes Of Peace and Brooklyn's Rose by two lengths and two and a half lengths.

"He'll either go for the Tyros back here or might go to the Curragh for the Anglesey," further divulged Bolger.

"We think he's a horse with a future. He has a lovely temperament and looks a very sound horse so should be able to keep him going for the rest of the season.

"Hopefully he'll improve from that and turn out to be a group horse."
