There is Stakes race action at both Irish meetings today with two Listed races at Gowran Park while black type is also up for grabs in the Legacy Stakes and the Star Appeal Stakes under the lights at Dundalk this evening. Hook Up looks set to go off favourite for the BetVictor Pat Walsh Memorial Irish EBF Mares Hurdle at Gowran Park, while Willie Mullins is also represented by Getaway Gorgeous Western Victory is part of a two-pronged challenge by Declan Queally while the Gordon Elliott-trained Say Goodbye is another for the shortlist in this two-mile event.

Mullins also holds a strong hand in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mucklemeg Mares Flat Race with son Patrick aboard easy Kilbeggan winner Flemencello

Following 1mm of rain overnight the going at Gowran remains good to yielding. The forecast is cool and mainly dry with the chance of some passing showers.

Meanwhile the juveniles take centrestage at Dundalk and the Ger Lyons/Colin Keane combination are represented by Geocentric as they bid to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Legacy Stakes for the third consecutive year.

The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Star Appeal Stakes should prove a highly informative race with maiden winners like Leinster House Markaz Paname and Snaffles taking on Absolute Ruler and Corviglia who are already placed at Stakes level.

The first on an eight-race card at Dundalk gets underway at 4.45pm.
