John Cahill's Prince Of Peace made most to deliver in Dundalk's mile maiden.

He was pushed along by Danny Sheehy to lead before the first furlong was completed. From there he dictated and was still going well entering the final couple of furlongs.

Sheehy got after him approaching the final furlong and the 10/3 shot bounded home by a length and a half. Giuliana couldn't land a glove on him but was best of the rest in second at 7/2. She came in a length and three quarters ahead of Eagle Terrace (5/1 from 15/2).

Sheehy said: “He deserves that. He tends to dwell in the stalls a bit but we were drawn one today and he got the run of the race.

“I made up his mind early and I’m delighted for the connections. It’s great to get a winner for them.”
