Bottom weight Nora Batt under Conor Hoban landed the Mallow Town Summer BBQ Evening July 8th Handicap at Cork today, helping remove trainer John Nicholson's name from the dreaded 'cold list'.
The winning daughter of Art Connoisseur was prominent along the stands' side throughout and in the end stayed on well for a half length win over Candelaria
Afterwards Nicholson quipped “I saw I was on the cold list this morning so I said I'd better do something about that!”
He added “Conor (Hoban) rode her dam (dual winner Mrs Batt) and I told him to do the same as he did on her. I knew she was fast and had been waiting for that ground the whole year and I'll keep her at that trip.”
