Mr defies market drift

Despite proving very easy in the market, Mr Mojito got the job done in some style on his debut in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Maiden, going clear from over a furlong out under Wayne Lordan to beat Emperor Hadrian by three lengths.

This chestnut son of Danehill Dancer showed a very professional attitude as those around him ran green and he was continuing the excellent run of Tommy Stack (leading trainer with eight winners) and Wayne Lordan (his eighth of the campaign too) despite drifting from a morning price of 5/2 out to 9/2.

Fozzy Stack commented: "He had been working okay. He is fast and quick and he'd be a possible Marble Hill candidate on that performance."

The first of the Racing Post yearling bonus races to be run in Ireland, Kinvara Vaughan and Terry Corden, the winning owners, get €10,000 on top of the €9,315 prize-money.
