Miss Ballygally sprang a 33/1 shock when romping home in Division Two of the Tipperary Handicap.

The six-year-old mare was fully second last of the 13 runners approaching the home bend but made rapid headway from the penultimate furlong to hunt Coilogshakeysirgin (16/1) down coming to the final furlong.

She soon powered past him and galloped on to glory. There was two and a half lengths between the pair at the line. Fiosrach was a further length and a half behind in third at 10/1. Beechmount Whisper the 9/4 favourite, unseated jockey Gary Halpin upon leaving the stalls.

Sligo-based Mark McNiff trained the winner after also saddling Mystic Princess to score in Downpatrick last Friday evening.
